During the Roaring 20s, and before the Depression hit, there was a man who was larger than life. Babe Ruth. He was a hero for so many children, and it is easy to see why. For decades he held the mark for most career home runs, with 714. The Babe's smile and personality was a hit with fans. One of his quotes, "Every strike brings me closer to the next home run", is still used by baseball players today.
